Tick says the clock on the wall,
As tears from the little boy’s pupil fall.
Waiting all night for his mother’s phone call.
It’s her weekend to pick him up,
But out with her new boyfriend, she’s getting fucked up.
Last time he kept going when she said no, but she lucked up, cause he couldn’t “get up”
So instead of a wake up,
She stays caked up,
With whoever tells her she looks good with all the make-up

So the clock is still ticking,
And the feeling the boy holds about his mom continues sticking.
Ten years later him a some woman are screaming and kicking……Each other
But how can you blame him, he never saw a man love his own mother
But a few times he saw a man cut her
He even saw a man shut her……mouth
That is, only when she wasn’t performing “down south”
The boy don’t know love cause he definitely ain’t seen it
But yet the once innocent soul of the boy still feinds it
His example being gone everyday and night
So, never was he taught the ways to protect himself right
A teenage Father
The Baby Momma told him don’t even bother…You ain’t gone be shit; cause neither was your father.
But that statement hurt because the boy had no clue, who his dad was
Moms sleeping with more than enough, mistaking lust for love
Not enough money to get several DNA’s tests,
And the untreated Aids she kept a secret, now causes her soul to rest.

As the second hand moves faster
The boy’s moms’ life is past her,
Deciding to do better for his child, he drops in church and receives word from the pastor.
Although the church folk look at him strange,
It’s never too late to change, so he puts all his change in the collect plate
And decided that every Sunday at that same time…him and God would have a date.
Trying so hard to void his heart of hate…
So that he can mold his seed,
And provide all the many things it will need….
Especially the love, described in the book the congregation reads
He starts to see things a bit different, so a better life he leads.
Every Sunday at church, when the long hand is on twelve and the short, on eleven….
The boys wonders if his mom made it to heaven!
